Lead Poisoning Prevention and Screening

Blood lead testing is available for pre-and school-aged Knox County children. Public health nursing visits are conducted in homes with children that have high levels of lead in their blood. Health care counseling provided as necessary for children with high lead levels. Environmental inspections are conducted according to state guidelines.
