Communicable Diseases
The goal of the Knox County Health Department Communicable Disease Division is to protect the health and welfare of Knox County residents through the control of infectious diseases.
Communicable Diseases are illnesses caused by viruses, bacteria, fungi, or protozoa and are found within plants, animals, and humans. They have the ability to potentially transmit between one person or species to another.
